Subject: GOVERNMENT BETRAYAL OF VETERANS

Dear Mr. Laufer:

I am watching you on Link TV at the moment and felt the need to write to you.

My name is Wes Brickner and I am one of the founding members of Veterans' Rights Advocates, www.v-r-a.org.

We are Vietnam veterans who have been petitioning the government for our employment, reemployment and Affirmative Action rights in the workplace for over thirty (30) years.

Unfortunately, the DOL-VETS (Veteran's Employment and Training Services) and the DOL-OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) who are mandated by Congress with the authority and jurisdiction to enforce the statutes of the Veterans Reemployment Rights Act (VRRA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) - DOL-VETS jurisdiction - and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) - DOL-OFCCP's jurisdiction - are failing to protect and to secure these rights for veterans nationwide as documented on our website.

Veterans across the country are submitting the same identical horror stories that we have experienced in dealing with these two government agencies.

I would like the chance to speak with you about our struggle and to see if you may be able to help us by writing an article exposing the failure of our government to support veterans.

We are not asking for any special treatment or to enact any new laws.  We are only asking for the government to enforce the existing laws which protect the rights of veterans.

Please check out our website and feel free to contact me at the following numbers and addresses:
