Welcome to the Veterans Rights Advocates
Truth is on the march and nothing can stop it.
We make our greatest mistakes through ignorance.
Never take away a person's hope. It may be all that they have.
Real insanity is seeing the world as it is and not as it should be.
...until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.
The Veterans Rights Advocates are here to fight for veterans workplace rights. The National Guard and Military Reserve are also included in the definition of a veteran because they too have been denied their workplace rights. Take a look around to learn more about Veterans Rights in the workplace. United States Veterans all over the world will become aware of their rights during The Year of the Veteran, and join the Veterans War on American Soil!
V-R-A.ORG is the tip of a volcano ready to explode. The V-R-A.ORG has marching orders to inform all veterans, the National Guard, and Military Reserve of their rights in the workplace under USERRA and VETS as well as VEVRAA and the OFCCP. Equally important, the V-R-A.ORG targeted objective is to provide legal assistance to veterans whose rights have been violated through lack of affirmative action and/or discrimination while working for Federal Contractors.
Learn how the OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) has become partners with Federal Contractors in failing to support veterans rights under the VEVRAA of 1974 amended (Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act). The OFCCP is an agency of the DOL (Department of Labor) that was incepted in October, 1979. The congressional mandate of the OFCCP was and is to protect the workplace veterans rights of the Vietnam Era. And, since 1998, the OFCCP covers all veterans who were on active duty for 180 days or more anywhere during any campaign for which a ribbon was awarded, and their rights in the workplace under VEVRAA. These rights are the support of affirmative action for hiring, training, promotion, and retaining veterans among qualified Federal Contractors and the freedom from workplace discrimination.
Learn how a Federal Judge handed down a court decision that states: The OFCCP has conducted "SHAM" investigations in response to the complaints of veterans who have filed CC-4s (complaints regarding lack of required affirmative action programs by their qualified Federal Contractors and/or discrimination).
Learn how veterans can stop the above practices by telling their stories regarding their Federal Contractors and lack of support by the OFCCP.
All stories will be kept confidential unless permission is granted to include the story in the Veterans Rights Advocates Stories.
All veterans requesting specific information and/or advice will receive a response as quickly as possible. If Title 41, Chapter 60, Sections 250-nn are involved, please go to LINKS and copy paste the paragraph (s) into your request.
Disclaimer: If you submit veteran requests, complaints, or seek medical help that is not related to VEVRAA, USERRA, or OFCCP, you will be sent advice to seek help from another VSO(.
Samuel Adams 1722 – 1803
Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude and perseverance. Let us remember that "if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom." It is a very serious consideration . . . that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event.
John Donne 1572 - 1631
